Erik Logstrup moves his family to Sri Lanka and Elsteel is founded. ELSTEEL is a play on words, EL for Erik Logstrup and Electrical. Electrical steel.
1983
The first container with finished panels leave Katunayake, Sri Lanka
1992
The factory in Sri Lanka is expanded with a new building to cater to the ever rising demand.
1993
Techno Module is patented and business starts to really kick off.
2001
Factory no 3 is built in Pallekele, Sri Lanka. All three factories in Sri Lanka function together as one unit.
2003
Erik’s son Alexander starts construction of Factory no 4 in Goa, India.
2003
At the same time Elsteel Poland is etablished to cater to special solutions.
2008
Elsteel Goa starts manufacturing
2012
A further expansion in Sri Lanka is needed so another production building is built in Pallekele.
2013
Expansion is also needed in Goa so additional buildings are constructed.
2014
Erik Logstrup passes away and Fang takes over the reins.
2018
The office in Denmark moves headquarters and warehouse to Nivaa, Denmark.
2019
Further expansions are made in Goa, India.
2021
In 2021 we celebrated ( as best we could ) 40 years of design, research & innovation.
2015-2023
Several new machines are implemented in Sri Lanka, India and Poland.

New production facility in Poland begins manufacturing
